Peat-bog Úpská rašelina

The largest mountain peat-bog in Giant mountains. It is situated among Luční chalet, Hraniční ridge, Obří chalet and Sudniční mountain in the 1400 m above the sea level.

Area this narural reservation is about 73 ha. The rivers Úpa and Bílé Labe springs there. The peat-bog is overgrown by dwarf pines. A lot of rare plants growth there, especially galacial relicts. Through nord part of peat-bog goes the tourist way from former Obří chalet to Luční chalet.
